Looks like I've deviated back to my most comfortable way of drawing: good ol' pencil and paper!
Doing a lot of traditional paintings and illustrations and I'm loving it!!
I've always had a struggle with digital art, so taking a break from it and going back to my more familiar materials has been refreshing!
Mainly it's because I've been participating in an online challenge on Facebook to do Chinese/Japanese brush painting. The challenge is to try to do a painting
in this style everyday for the month of November. Which is great, because October was so black and white I was thrilled to use color again!
Not that I couldn't I was just focused more on ink work than color. So yeah, thus the influx of decent pictures in my gallery.
Though most of my practice paintings and sketches I post to my tumblr. I've been doing a lot of flower paintings, which is unusual for me,
but I'm really loving the style and learning new techniques. Plus I got the chance to break out my COPICs again and do some fun illustrations.
Maybe I'll do a tutorial someday or a process picture, maybe a video would be fun.
I know lots of artists do that. Would any of you guys like to see me demonstrate my drawing/coloring style?
I'd put up a poll question but I can't so let me know if you'd like to see that! I think it would be fun to make. I'm always interested in seeing how my fellow artists work!
