Hey everyone! Usagi here!

I have a question to all my watchers out there, and those who I've met at past anime cons!!
Ok, it's a brand new 2015 con season, and many of you have seen my work over the past couple years as I've traveled
to different cons along the East Coast. Lots of you know and have seen my usual prints (Naruto fan art), but I've made a few new prints last year
featuring characters from newer and somewhat popular anime (Free!, Fairy Tail, Avatar the Last Airbender, etc...), and I've been trying to
branch out into newer shows and characters coming out, to keep up with the fandom.

This is the difficult part. Truly, I just can't make new prints of everything everyone is into.
There's so much coming out, that I just can't keep up! It's crazy! XDD
Plus, with all the controversy and polar opinions over selling fan art in general, it can get complicated with copyright issues and what not.

That's why I started focusing more on doing commissions in the artist alley more than making new prints. That way people who enjoy my art
style, can request a commission for a character that I don't have as a print, but maybe its a character they NEVER see prints of! Things from older
anime and video games, original characters, or even random stuff. Of course, I won't just draw ANYTHING so you'd have to check with me first,
but still, it's made the artist alley experience more enjoyable for me.

So basically my question is, what do you guys think? When you visit the artist alley are you expecting artists to be 'keeping up with the fandoms' and drawing
only fan art of what's popular this season, or do you like seeing their usual items, the art that makes that artist who they are?
Are you looking for something from an older anime, or an obscure show that is rare to find fan art for, or something completely original?
What do you guys think I should go for? Making more original prints and doing commissions, or making prints of recent popular anime/shows, etc...?
Just trying to plan out this year efficiently. I'd love to hear your thoughts and suggestions!!!

Thanks guys!

Oh yeah, I read that a few years ago. I love it! And it was kinda cool reading how the story could have been.
I love it when pilots of my favorite manga get published or at least translated. Makes for good 'what if' situations.
Thanks for sharing! ^_^
