What a nice little con that was!
It was conveniently local, plus I got to meet lots of nice con-goers and fellow artists and dealers too! I was so happy to talk to the vendors at Kimono USA! My favorite kimono shop I sometimes get to visit at different cons in the South East. You can go to their website here: www.kimonousa.com/
Though I spent pretty much the entire weekend in the Marketplace/Artist Alley/ Dealer's room, I had a great time! Thanks to everyone who stopped by my table and supported my work, especially all the amazing people who requested a commission! I had so much fun creating unique pieces of art of characters I hadn't yet been introduced to as well as some of my own favorites! I may post some of them here but for now you can visit my tumblr page to see them.
Had an awesome time with my buddy Neko-chan and my sis who helped me at my table. It was a nice laid-back little con that I wouldn't mind attending again. My only concern was that in the Artists Alley section of the room, the tables provided for us weren't wide enough for my usual display set-up. They were very narrow, so I hope that can be fixed to a more standard size next year. Other than that, the con staff was wonderful and I really appreciate their hard work!
So, with that off to the next con AARC which will be in Asheville, NC! It's also a small one but these newly developing cons need support!
So if you're near Asheville, come on over and check it out. Here's their website: www.ashevillearc.com/
Once these are over I'll be a little more active on DA but for now be sure to check out my tumblr page for more recent updates: nekkyousagi.tumblr.com/
